Il “Leslie Ettre Award” 2012 al Dott. Danilo Sciarrone

Dr. Danilo Sciarrone, a young researcher from Messina, was awarded the “Leslie Ettre Award” 2012 on the occasion of the 9th Symposium on “comprehensive” two-dimensional gas chromatography, and the 36th Symposium on capillary chromatography techniques, held jointly in Riva del Garda (TN). Dr. Sciarrone has always been dedicated to the analysis of complex food samples using capillary chromatographic techniques, and his research has been focused on the development of multidimensional analytical techniques. Leslie Ettre is considered one of the fathers of capillary gas chromatography and every year, since 2008, the prize named after him has been awarded to a young researcher who has presented the best contribution regarding environmental and food analysis, by means of capillary gas chromatography techniques. Dr. Sciarrone carries out his scientific research activity in the laboratories of the Analytical-Food Sector, coordinated by Professor Luigi Mondello.
