Giuseppe Micalizzi
Giuseppe Micalizzi è un ricercatore a tempo determinato di tipo A (RTD-A) in Chimica dell’Ambiente e dei Beni Culturali (SSD CHIM/12) presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche, Biologiche, Farmaceutiche e Ambientali dell’Università degli Studi di Messina. Ha conseguito la laurea Magistrale in Chimica presso l’Università degli Studi di Messina nel Dicembre 2013. Successivamente, ha ottenuto un contratto di ricerca (2014-2015) sul progetto PON-Ricerca e Competitività 2007-2013, progetto PON4a2_F, BE&SAVE. Nel Novembre 2019, ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in Scienze Chimiche presso l’Università degli Studi di Messina con una tesi di dottorato dal titolo “Comprehensive lipidomics profiling in complex real samples using hyphenated chromatography techniques coupled to mass spectrometry detection” sotto la supervisione della Prof.ssa Paola Dugo. Nel 2019, è stato visiting researcher presso il Center of Sport Nutrition Science, University of Physical Education, Budapest, Ungheria. Dall’Ottobre 2021, lavora come ricercatore presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche, Biologiche, Farmaceutiche e Ambientali dell’Università degli Studi di Messina.
Il Dottor Giuseppe Micalizzi è autore di 39 pubblicazioni (articoli di ricerca, capitoli di libro, articoli di review), principalmente basate sull’applicazione di tecniche analitiche avanzate per la caratterizzazione di specie chimiche in differenti matrici come oli essenziali, fluidi biologici e matrici alimentari. Ha presentato le sue attività di ricerca in più di 20 congressi nazionali e internazionali, con comunicazioni orali e poster. È revisore di alcune riviste scientifiche internazionali peer review. I suoi interessi di ricerca includono tecniche di gascromatografia (GC) accoppiate a spettrometria di massa (singolo quadrupolo, triplo quadrupolo e alta risoluzione) per la caratterizzazione chimica di matrici naturali complesse. Infine, il suo interesse include anche lo sviluppo di metodologie automatizzate per la preparazione del campione utilizzando stazioni preparative robotizzate.
