Isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) is gaining a lot of interest with many applications in different fields, ranging from food (traceability, authentication, ….), medicine, ecology, environment, and cultural heritage to geosciences.
The 2nd IRMS Day inaugurates a new series of workshops dedicated to the applications of isotope ratio mass spectrometry to the different fields. The purpose is to bring together a wide community of scientists working in the stable isotope area coming from all over Italy, to encourage communication across disciplines and deal with similar issues.
Organized in plenary lectures, oral and poster communications, the 2nd IRMS Day is a good opportunity to link industrial needs and academic knowledge and to promote meetings, discussion and cooperation among scientists coming from public and private institutions, universities and industries to define the state of the art, instrumentation, methodologies, applications and innovations in the isotope ratio mass spectrometry field.
Topics include:
- Food Traceability, Authentication and Forensic science
- Flavors & Fragrances
- plant science and physiology
- Paleo-climatology and paleo-diet
- Ecology (terrestrial, freshwater and marine)
- Migration and provenance
- Geosciences and hydrology
- Environmental Sciences
- Biochemistry and medicine
- Advances in stable isotope analyses and new instrumentation
